Welcome to the Trojan Band Webpage
Our program consists of ensembles ranging from beginning band to the COCISD Trojan Band that represents the high school on the marching band field every Friday. The music program at Coldspring-Oakhurst is designed to make music instruction accessible to every student. Through learning to play an instrument, a student will become acquainted with all aspects of music, as well as develop a strong sense of responsibility and discipline. We as directors aim to create a safe fun learning environment that is maintained with high standards of excellence and student leadership. It is our goal to give back to the community and to be a visible example of class and represent COCISD well in every activity in which the band is present.
Our job as a band is to create a competitive exciting environment at football games, support athletics whenever we can, be competitive with other schools on and off the marching band field, and provide music for community events. Our job as band directors is to create musicians with character. Our job as band students is to give nothing less than our best at all times. Our job as band boosters, band parents, and fans of the band is to support the band and its students. All in all we must work together and work hard. The fruits of our labor will be evident in the success of the COCISD band program.
